Zero Emission Day
The release of carbon dioxide gas resulting from the use of fossil fuels is called carbon emission. Carbon emission created by the use of fossil fuels such as petrol, diesel, and LPG is seen as one of the biggest causes of global warming and air pollution. Zero Emission Day, which started as a “personal” suggestion on a simple website created by a Canadian man in 2008, has spread around the internet over the years and has turned into a day celebrated by many people around the world. On the Zero Emission Day, which is celebrated on September 21, the aim is to give “the world one day off of a year” in the form of not using cars and other vehicles and to reduce the carbon emission created by these vehicles for one day.
