Global warming and climate change are melting the permafrost and the glaciers. The viruses that are frozen in soil and in ice can be brought back to life (Fox-Skelly).
After the permafrost melted in Siberia, anthrax spread as the deer carcass that contained the virus was no longer safely frozen (“Russia anthrax”).
If we don’t stop global warming we will soon see more of these kinds and even worse pandemics. The answer is simple: Reduce your carbon footprint.
